I've been told that a lot of times. I used to be a bit smarter and got myself to university (physics and compsci programs) but then lost interest in anything, started playing vidya, lurking 4chan etc. (full blown degeneration I guess) and had an emotional breakdown followed by year long depression with "an hero" attempt somewhere along the way and few reemissions later. Now I feel/am dumb as fuck, like someone has cut out parts of my brain, unemployed with suspended education (99% it will stay that way) looking for another corporate-IT-monkey job and thinking about settling down :^(

You can't increase your "IQ"/intelligence/cleverness or whatever substantially as an adult but sure YOU CAN fuck it up!
