This guy probably has the closest thing to a solution. It mostly depends on upbringing, and things that are tied to that, like basic self-control and manners.
Self-control is probably the cardinal difference between a Ted Bundy and a Julius Ceasar... well something less grandiose, but like that.
We all engage in some amount of distasteful behavior, but we manage to rein in our worst impulses, mostly because it's the most rational thing to do.
Besides, it's not like psychopaths completely lack empathy, it's just their default mode is off and they can toggle it at will:

It's actually easy if you have a distillation apparatus. Boil a sample off at > 100 C to remove everything with a high boiling point, like flavor compounds.

Then cool it down to 85 C. The water will condense, the alcohol will remain a vapor.

Suck off (or let your mom suck off - she's good at it) the vapor, cool the water down to room temperature, and weigh.

Study what? The human (2003) and chimpanzee genomes (2005) are completely mapped. Comparing them is just a computer exercise.

If you want to study black vs. white genomics, forget it. Unless you crowdsource funding from Trump voters, that funding ain't coming. NIH and NSF won't touch race research with a 28 chromosome pole.

To work as a tech in somebody's lab will take at least a BS in molecular genetics.

To supervise that lab will take a Master's.

To design your own experiments will take a PhD and probably several postdocs.
