I'm doing some exercises about curves in vector form. Most questions so far have been easy questions about circles or helixes. This one's got me stumped, though. I'd appreciate some help solving it, specifically, part c:

"A disc of radius a rolls around a circular track lying in the ij-plane. The track is centred on the origin and has a radius of 3a. The plane of the disc is at all time perpendicular to the ij=plane.

The disc starts rolling with a point P on its rim at the point (3a, 0, 0). Some time later, the disc has rotated through an angle ϕ and the point of contact with the track has undergone an angular displacement θ.

a) Find ϕ in terms of θ.
b) Find the position vector of the centre of the disc.
c) Hence find the vector equation of the path traced out by the point P."
