so uh apparently these questions are so hard that each solution is worth one million dollars

>P vs NP
>The question is whether or not, for all problems for which an algorithm can verify a given solution quickly (that is, in polynomial time), an algorithm can also find that solution quickly.

kek this one is a no brainer, the answer is no obviously. where is my million dollars?

i dont even understand the other questions but if we really did our best we could solve them all i guess

I am a lazy 23 year old autistic retard and I am trying to decide if I should switch from physics to biology or if I should gtfo of college and come back when I'm more decided

I'm currently on my 2nd year at uni after 3 state-gifted years of CC. I enrolled into uni under a physics degree (couldn't get into engineering department) and spent the first year taking classes that were mostly unrelated to a physics degree.

I have spent these past months looking back on my childhood interests; whales, biology, oceans, monkeys. Learning about these is much more interesting and appealing than learning about statics or electrostatics

Should I follow my childhood heart and switch to a zoology major? Or should I suck it up and apply myself to an engineering degree? I get so intimidated in the classes that a physics degree would require, no less an engineering degree, and I don't know if I have what it takes. Engineering would give me much more jobs but I think I don't have the passion. I bought an arduino kit, thinking I would latch onto an impressive project that would give me a better taste of engineering; did not do that. Nor did I when I bought a couple robot kits. I do like designing things on AutoCAD but that is as deep as I am expereinced in engineering. I feel like a fucking failure and the only thing that keeps me going is my parents telling me I will always have a room in their house if I fall on my ass and fail

I was admitted into a PhD program, and was asked to submit a list of potential advisors. There was only 6 advisors and 7 students. I didn't get an advisor.

I legitimately have no clue what to do. I think I just got quiet fired.

>contact X
Ive contacted everyone through the chain of command and they said I might get one after finals.

Yeah I think I've been quiet fired.

I read a quote, saying that an obsession with space is just escapism for those we don't want to face the "real world problems". How true is this quote for you fellas? For me it was quite accurate

How do I pick between ME and EE? Both programs are so interesting.
1: ME (top 5 university) > robotics (w/ AI)
2: EE (top 20 university) > microengineering
My favorite is EE, but the ME program is world class. Should I go for the best quality of education, or the one a bit more interesting?

Still waiting for suggestions for why my idea is bad.
Benefits:
1. Many possible uses.
2. Extremely cheap project.
3. New interesting technologies could be developed on top of it.

Also note: for the problem of lost IDs, it could be solved by having the government generate new IDs for everyone regularly. Then the users of website would simply be all required to switch their ideas to those in the second batch so no new users would come but it would give an opportunity for those who've lost their hash to get a new one.

Scientifically speaking, why do armpits sweat so much? It provides very little cooling since airflow is minimal there, so who benefits?

Anybody ever get an online degree for math? Seems like every college I look at only offers brainlet math courses online. Are there any actually good places to get an online degree in math that is well respected? Really would rather not go to local uni if I dont have to.

When I do math problems, I give up almost immediately within the first 3 minutes and get external help. Every time this happens, I start to doubt my abilities and my self-esteem goes down . How do you guys become more 'patient'?
