Why do STEMfags care about "muh intelligence" so much?

I only got into "science" later in life because I didn't want to do some gay office work. Being a musician, I prefer to do stuff with my hands with a little creativity. I never try to be the smartest person in the room, I get by with B's and the occasional A just by sitting through lectures and studying a little before exams. I get talked down to by all the other students for not knowing anything, but I simply don't care. I just want to make money, play guitar, and have a good time. I know school is a scam, but it's just a means to an end for me to be a pseudo-NEET since I'm being paid to go to school (Tuition covered and I'm clearing $16k/yr from financial aid that I'm investing into index funds). I don't care about research or being a great scientist, because the majority of science (after reading tons of scientific publications is just worthless noise that academics put out to keep their welfare rolling in). So many students try to flex in lectures/to each other about how smart they are and it's just so embarrassing to witness. I'll be retired at 35 years old while these brainlet STEMfags are making some CEO millions/billions in exchange for pennies. It's all so tiresome.

No. High school is a bullshit waste of time. I'm telling you this as someone who is doing just fine in university, getting mostly B's and some A's in my science/math classes. In high school, I had nothing but D's and F's, I didn't have the motivation to do all the pointless busywork. University is different, there isn't any/much busywork outside of the humanities classes. Just pay attention in class, ask questions, and do exercises/review. The real hard part comes after university anyway.
