What scientists alive today will go down in history for their academic achievements? Are there any scientists alive today whose work will give them as much fame as Einstein or Bohr?

But does that make him dumber than Einstein?

I guess liberals are right. It's a giant coincidence that geniuses like Einstein, Kasparov and Jacob Barnett have top IQs and black people get low results, because it's the evil white mans racist test to oppress black people.

Why are liberals even allowed on this board ?

I guess most people hereare aware that einsteins GR formulas break down i.e. give strange results, that cannot be possibly true when we try to compute a black hole, for example gravity becomes infinite.
The usual explanation is that GR is incomplete, but what if it isn´t really GR but math itself that is the problem ?

I'd like to have a discussion about intelligence. Some people says that you are born intelligent, some say that you become intelligent if you work hard (so they look at the brain as if it were a muscle) and some say it's a bit of both.

I like to think that intelligence is not bind to the DNA. The reason making me say that is that we all have roughly similar brain. Also, some women are smarter then some man, despite having a smaler brain.

However, I'm not a specialist so I'd like to here /sci/ opinion on that.

did you know that the mighty Albert Einstein was a socialist?

>I have now reached the point where I may indicate briefly what to me constitutes the essence of the crisis of our time. It concerns the relationship of the individual to society. The individual has become more conscious than ever of his dependence upon society. But he does not experience this dependence as a positive asset, as an organic tie, as a protective force, but rather as a threat to his natural rights, or even to his economic existence. Moreover, his position in society is such that the egotistical drives of his make-up are constantly being accentuated, while his social drives, which are by nature weaker, progressively deteriorate. All human beings, whatever their position in society, are suffering from this process of deterioration. Unknowingly prisoners of their own egotism, they feel insecure, lonely, and deprived of the naive, simple, and unsophisticated enjoyment of life. Man can find meaning in life, short and perilous as it is, only through devoting himself to society.

Given the current state of quantum mechanics, string theory and other related branches of contemporary physics, do you think Einstein would be convinced today that a unified field theory is a ignis fatuus, or would he maintain his opposition?

Since the Universe is endless in time and space, it is given that it has infinite POSSIBILITIES, and as of that in the universe, everything is true and at the same time false, even atoms and their structure being the fundamental building block probably does not have to apply everywhere and at anytime. As of that, the theories concerning the universe actually tell us more of the people making them as opposed to the universe.. For example Einstein.. It is painfully obvious that all his theories are subconcious metaphores because he can't face his own homosexuality.. The progression of matter to energy represents his "coming out", to emerge from his stale and hard form to emerge as pure homosexual energy. Also, anti-matter represents the young men who tease him with their corny marshmellow buttholes.

How come all the best scientists and mathematicians are Ashkenazi Jews?
