I've never played minecraft; if to you personally it is fulfilling then I think it would be a great idea. I tried building a world map exactly like Earth on civilization 5 last night, after I did it and successfully completed the 3rd Reich that Hitler failed, I felt good, so, yes, I advise you to construct Rome on minecraft.
