hey /sci/, I am not very knowledgeable in regards to science, so hopefully this question isn't stupid.

But I was wondering, what causes planets and stars to be more or less spherical? One would assume that if matter was floating through space, it would be largely misshapen. The only explanation I can think of is gravity has over time morphed the shapes of planets and stars to be spherical.
