For the people ITT who aren't already aware, Trump's ideology with respect to NASA is to pull them out of Earth science and focus the association entirely on space -- which I don't find disagreeable at all, nor do my (few) connects at NASA. I think better allocation of NASA resources could spell a lot for the US in terms of space exploration. NASA has fallen onto hard times over the last decade or so as they receive a lot of their funding (which is already very limited) under the premise that they'll dedicate their services to Earth science.

It's understandable that the republican candidate is viewed as the one who is afraid of scientific progress, but a lot of us in the field don't believe Trump to fall into this category regardless of who we voted for.
