It is basic Hamiltonian and Lagrangian dynamics. If you have a Hamiltionan or Lagragian (for your system) that depends explicitly on time, the there is no conservation of energy.

Conservation of energy is in fact not a fundemental property in physics, it is derived for certain "simple" systems, using Nothers thoerm and the calculus of variations. The symmerty associated with energy conservation is "time homogenity".

If you really want to learn this shit, The Classical Theory of fields (by Landu and Lipshitz) is a good book.
