>ywn be a species in a system with multiple rocky and potentially habitable planets a stone's throw away
>ywn be a species in a system where other advanced lifeforms may have evolved on different planets
>ywn be a species in a system with multiple planets that are spectacularly large in the sky
>ywn be a species in a system with a star that will live for a few trillion years instead of 10 billion short years like our sun
>ywn be a species in a system where you can be thousands of years old because your year is only 10 days

Feels Earthling, man

Only a hundred or so galaxies are moving towards the Milky Way. The vast majority are all moving away from us. Eventually, in hundreds of billions of years, it will be impossible to see any galaxies outside of the local galaxies because of extreme distance plus severe redshifting. The observable universe will only be a handful of galaxies.

>BA in history (plz no bully)
>sort of, I got a really good white collar office job just from having a degree but there is so much fucking reading/writing required for history classes and the reading is mostly boring academic stuff
>had I known my eventual employer only wanted any degree I would have gone with political science, I took a few upper level poli sci classes and they were a fucking cakewalk plus more interesting than most of my history classes

If I wasn't a total brainlet at math I would have majored in astronomy. I have an autistically obsessive interest in everything to do with space. Astronomer is the only job that would give me a sense of fulfillment and purpose but that's impossible when you can't do math, so instead I just feel myself to sleep every night over the fact that I can never do what I really want. Guess I won't treat math as a dump stat on my next reroll.

That would be amazing if Planet X was actually a small black hole, assuming it had a stable orbit that wouldn't wreak havoc on the planets or the Sun. Just imagine the research potential if we could study one of them up close instead of having to study them from thousands of light years away. We could have a live recording of matter being absorbed by a black hole in real time instead of artistic interpretations and grainy pixels from telescopes.
