dichloroacetic acid stumulates the PDH complex. a common (but by no means universal) characteristic of cancer cells is warburg metabolism, and the stimulation of PDH pushes cells away from warburg metabolism by restoring normal apoptosis pathways. if dichloroacetic acid does have anticancer properties, it will only work on cancer cells which exhibit warburg metabolism - and regardless, little proof exists for its anticancer effects.
