This is a circle with radius 2.

How are you positioning the circle relative to the sphere? The question doesn't say what the "z" coordinate of the circle is, so you could place it anywhere? right?

Given the context I would assume you place it such that it's radius is that of a z slice of the sphere. Is that what you are doing? Have you found where this occurs?
