>Nothing is happening. You do not command the resources to colonize space, much less other worlds. You are full of stupid ego and hot air.

Nothing is happening? On what planet? NASA recently unveiled the SLS, with a ground to orbit capacity of 130 tons in its final configuration. SpaceX has declared intentions to build bases on the Moon and Mars. Bigelow Aerospace has inflatable space station modules in orbit RIGHT NOW over your head. Nothing's happening? It can seem that way with your head up your ass.

>The government knows full well what space colonization really means. It means spending many billions, well, trillions of dollars, just to put a bunch of idealistic enemies like yourself out where they can not tax you. How many times in history does it happen that a government makes an investment the size of its entire GDP just to give fringe elements ultimate freedom? It never happens.

It won't be the government that does it. Have you been paying zero attention?

Anyway, can we get back to the topic? SpaceX and Bigelow have both made it clear that their goal is to put human outposts on the moon and Mars. Both say it will occur before 2030, and SpaceX now has the launch vehicle necessary to make it a reality. Meanwhile Bigelow has the habitat modules needed, two of which are in orbit as we speak.

Exciting times if you ask me.

You haven't explained yet the connection between bananas and inflatable habitats.

Is the concern that a banana may puncture the membrane? Impossible, as they're made of composite kevlar that stops even micrometeorites. Pic related.

I hope you have a rationale better than that, because it seems awfully silly.
