If the sun became a black hole right now, nothing at all would happen to the Earth's orbit and it would not be sucked in.

We can make a black hole as small as we want. All we gotta do is lure everyone into some section of the arena, get our guys outside of that region and BAM we put enough JUST the right amount of concentrated energy in their center and they all get compressed into an infinitesimal singularity
