So I graduated college with a CS degree but I want to go back and get either a physics or math degree. Do I just reapply with my college grades, is it a harder path, like what usually happens?

so for <span class="math">\displaystyle \sum_{n=0}^\infty x^n = \frac{1}{1-x}[/spoiler]

why does this not work for x>=1? where was this restriction introduced?

i've sort of figured out that when you deal with infinite series you get some fucky results sometimes, but are there more cases like this i should watch out for (particularly pertaining to generating functions)?
