uhm ackshually, there are many ways to harness nuclear energy besides boiling water. An intellectual like me would know about thermocouples, which while they have not been used for nuclear FISSION reactors they have been used on radioisotope generators for decades. NASA has successfully tested stirling engines for use with both nuclear fission as well as well as radioisotope heat sources. The soviet space program made use of thermionic power generation for several nuclear reactors during their RORSAT program. Even conventional nuclear powerplants differ from your so called "steam engines" because they make use of spinning turbines for improved efficiency, and 2-stage cooling loops with heat exchangers to prevent contamination. Additionally, not all nuclear reactors must have energy extracted from them in fact many scientific reactors operate below the boiling point of water. Please read a book before posting on /sci/ so you can interact with intellectuals like me without giving us insufferable pain having to explain common knowledge
