Women selection is mostly subconscious, just like men, they don't have to think about it because it's hardcoded in their brain, it's called sexual arousal and it's regulated by the limbic system, not your prefrontal cortex (=not your "rational" brain).
That said you're obviously clueless and never heard women talking about relationships, women are much more calculating than men when it comes to the topic.

It's understandable because they have a time constraint (their eggs are really working for around 20 years or so while a man never stop being fertile after puberty).
Also historically having a baby was a non trivial event (in fact it always was potentially life threatening for mammals) so picking a good mate was primordial for survival of both the mother and the kid.
