I'm glad you're not denying the universally accepted reality but the way your statement reads is like you concede that it might be reasonable for someone working in physics or math to not know *exactly* what I mean by "throwing rigor out the window," or that it might be reasonable to accept the belief of such a person that this is not something everyone in academia does routinely to facilitate rapid communications, and to achieve results without rigor for other practical purposes.
