You dump the DCM. New flask is for what you distill. Frankly I would use 2 flasks and not attempt to dump, solvent rinse, and put back because if it boils over in the meantime it's fucked.

You may find Anethole from Anise Extract the more suitable/acquirable target to start with.

Not OP, but in theory LSA can be made to LSD. It's not practical like ergotamine as the starting precursor but if you had to how would you do it? Using stuff a normie could get/make, not like lithium aluminium hydride...
