I don't even know if this is the right board for what I'm about to say, but bear with me -

Everything that lives, consumes nutrition, reproduces and defecates - metabolism. Am I right this far? If, yes, read on.

The energy which flows through every single organism, could that be re-labelled as 'soul'?

Seeing as humans, for instance, who are alive, are channels to different forms of energy (kinetic, heat, sound etc) - but when they die, they emmit energy (by rotting) until there is nothing left. They lack 'soul' as soon as they stop channeling the energy.

Logically, all organisms possess this 'soul'.


And then - when you die, could it be that the synapses in your brain react by emmitting the energy you used to keep your brain running - and what you send out bears the signature of your thoughts, your feeling, memories, etc -

And then someone else, a human (or multiple humans) in the area pick up on this energy and let it imprint on them. Babies will think they experienced the memories and feelings themselves, while adults will go batshit crazy and start doing new age stuff.
Perhaps this explains the known (yet disputed) records of people remembering earlier lives? And reincarnation?
Sorry if this sounds inconsistent or even stupid, I'm just really high and drunk and need to get this off my mind before I go to sleep.

If you could choose any way to go out, what would it be? Bonus points for awesomeness.

what do you think about "alternative education"
schools like hampshire college, new college of florida, the new school, bennington college, etc...

im looking for a place to xfer to, and these places look cool, but im afraid they wont be taken seriously by graduate schools.

also, while were at it, which is better, a bachelors of science, or arts? and why
