No there is totally some truth to that. Culture and the first world are a god damn whirlwind right now. Divorce rates, cultural norms, the family and really a lot of the fabric that held society together are changing.
Lot of great things are happening because of that. I do have some more fringe views of this change in society and do heed at what people like Frederick Nietzche have said about the subject.
Do I think it's indication of society collapsing? Eh, maybe. I doubt it. The only thing to really be worried about is basically the state and zero point energy. (Then again I am STEM student researching cybersec, my views are going to be bias).
