Sup /sci/

I just picked up Spivak Calculus and I'm on Ch. 7 right now. I'm having a hard as fuck time proving any of the problems without glancing at an answer key and these are supposed to be baby-level proofs. Should I just an hero and stop math, go for an easier book, or just struggle through?
