I don't think you understand the difference anon.

Typically (by which I mean, this is the case in most western countries), whenever a company wants to hire an immigrant to fill a position they must first prove that they have been trying to fill the position with local people. This typically involves proving that they have been running newspaper ads, using help wanted signs, and so on for a period of several months and haven't been able to find someone qualified who is willing to take the job. They present this evidence to a government institution (the process and institution varies across countries, but US, Canada, UK, etc.. all do this) and get a legal permission to hire an immigrant worker.

The idea is that by hiring an immigrant to fill the position it is not hurting the economy since the position likely wouldn't have been filled otherwise. Instead it is helping the economy (this is really the bottom line and the only reason any country allows immigrant workers).

So, when someone says that immigrants are only doing the jobs that local people don't want to do they are actually talking about those individual positions and not just about the jobs or fields of work in general.

Machine automation on the other hand may or may not be different (depending on how it's regulated). In the worst case scenario it just replaces everyone indiscriminately so that said businesses can cut costs. I however don't think this is likely (sane people would regulate against this) as it would probably hurt the economy as a whole.

I don't know how it's possible for /pol/ to sit around day after day talking about this shit without ever learning even the most basic fucking shit about it. It's such a goddamn retarded containment board.

>$12 billion of seeds that generated $300 billion worth of food and goods from said seeds.

You think the seeds cost the same as the fucking plant that grows from it and the products made from them? Then compare to the FOOD SALES of organic?
