oddly enough, deniers can never actually show evidence of tampering. they just insist that is MUST have happened. but then when you show them a warming trend in unadjusted data, they cry about the UHI effect and demand that the data be adjusted to account for it.

if an antibiotic functions by attacking a vital protein in bacteria, ceasing expression of the protein won't make the bacteria immune; it will just make them dead. how antibiotic resistance ACTUALLY arises is either by a change in the shape of the protein (such that it is no longer affected by the antibiotic, but retains its essential function) or by the de novo expression of an enzyme that degrades the antibiotic before it can attack its target.

It's an interesting paradox. Lets postulate that the solution to the equation is to hide the thread and move on, then any measurable attempt at a solution will automatically be incorrect. However a user may report the thread, so if you choose axioms where you are a mod you can delete the thread and ban OP which would be a correct solution.
