What is the /sci/entific formula to predicting the amount of IQ threads, along with the amount of "another IQ thread" posters on any given day?

I want to go to medical school for the life of me. Here are my stats.

>3.2 GPA freshman semester
>pursuing MD/PHD

My goal is to raise my grades but also pursue research. I've joined a lab studying mechanics and I essentially have a free slate to research whatever I want.

What are some hot topics that relate medicine and mechanics/biomechanics?
