I would post this on /adv/, but I do believe that you would do a better job answering this question than they would have.


I am in need of a way to motivate myself to study and involve myself more with school. What can I do to fulfill this desire? I find myself with close to no drive whatsoever to study nor involve myself with school sometimes.

Anybody who knows some numerical analysis care to help a brother out? Got a final tomorrow in probably one of the worst math classes ive ever taken, and the teacher is so shitty at explaining stuff and so chinese its impossible to learn anything. im trying, but im stuck at finding the local truncation error of a DE solving scheme, example question:
given the approximation formula f'(x)≈(f(x)-f(x-2h))/2h,
a. Use taylor expansion to find the error in terms of O(h^n) for some integer n
b. if f(x)=x^2, find the error function as a result of a.
