>be me
>in Physics class today
>professor talks about how he was doing his PhD in Mechanical Engineering after five years of being out of Academia
>Got his undergrad degree in Physics
>Talks about how the Engineering students couldn't do the raw Math as good as people who were into Physics
>Talks about how Physics cannot be done without Math

Anyone else has a /sci/ autist as a college professor?

Post any stupid questions that you have here. I'll start.

Anyone ever got scared of certain classes, decide to drop the major before you even begin, drop every class, and then decide to go back to the major and have to get scraps of classes? I'm in a community college and Physics just scares me as a CE student. I stopped all my classes that I needed, and now I decided to get back into it. I'm just scared of failing.

>do linear algebra homework like nothing
>test today
>barely able to do half of the test
>the rest I winged it
>test worth 200 points

I'm just hoping I got more right than wrong to where I can get a C. Some of the questions I didn't even understand.

>Chemistry 101 course
>professor does power points and goes fast
>she provides them on blackboard
>we had to do a Math type of test to see how competent we are in Math
>Mostly isolate a variable which was easy as fuck
>three questions of converting kg to grams or whatever
>implying I know how to convert
>three word problems and completely forget how to do them correctly
>didn't have a calculator, so I couldn't use it

One of the word problems was:
>baseball team wins 9 out of 23 games. What was their winning percentage?

Completely forget if it was 9 divided in 23 or 23 divided into 9. The answer I gave was 97.5% like a retard. Other similar problems I know I got wrong. After these stupidity, I'm not sure if I should even keep this chem class, or hell, all these Math classes.

>be in Calculus II and linear algebra

I feel like I want to kill myself for not knowing these easy ass questions.

Tfw I started in elementary Algebra and worked my way up in this community college. This college does not even offer Geometry and I'm now taking Pre-Calculus. I can't even do the word problems.

I was at class today when a professor was there from a previous class. Before he was leaving, he asked us what Math professor we have. When we told him, he said, "h-heh, good luck with him. Try to stay on his good side. Maybe mention Star Trek: Next generation". Is it a bad omen that other professors are weary of him? His notes and the way he talks is pretty good. However, I don't really know how he is on test.
