people who are philosophers have been important throughout history, sure. that doesn't mean majoring in it is anything other than a steaming pile of bullshit.

on the surface, studying how groups of humans interact is a useful thing, and in some cases it can be. when that cover is used to advance preconceived agendas any serious scientific benefit is lost.

the problem isn't that the idea of these fields is bad in terms of the dictionary definition, but that devoting your college career to them is a total waste of time and money. i am sorry if you are so asspained that hearing this hurts your feelings.
