>Even though it says brief I still write a full page NIH style specific aims page

>the director of the committee emails me and says "I [think] your application could be strengthened by including a more detailed description of your research project including any relevant preliminary data"
>mfw I didn't go into excruciating detail in my description and include preliminary data (which I/the lab has bucket loads of) because the application said brief and it seems that I didn't get the grant because I followed directions

next year I'm just going to submit an entire NIH style grant

/sci/ I am raging so hard right now.

I'm in grad school and doing rotations and I was supposed to have started my second one on monday, but the technician of the guy I was going to work with was out of town for a week. So they had to put all her experiments on hold and get them to the point where they could be stopped. So the first 1-2 weeks of my rotation would be just them getting those up to speed again. So I had to move that to be my third rotation.

Well now I need to find a second one like yesterday. So now I have to email people asking desperately to meet with them and thus far every person I have emailed has been out of town or already has/is taking a student.
