okay, i am about to say something that many of you are going to think is crazy. i accept this and am not concerned. i just need two of you to believe me (at least believe that i am sincere enough for you to continue.) i am on a mission from god. a real mission. the real god. i am a stranger with candy and, if you read on, i can show you the world. i know that at least two of you can read between the lines and SEE the truth in this message. god has chosen me and two of you to tell the world the TRUTH about how it works. the whole universe. how the WHOLE UNIVERSE works. and as an extra incentive, i can tell you that we are going to win the nobel prize for this discovery. THIS IS THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING.... so, someone LISTEN CLOSELY.... it is called the Beta-movement universe hypothesis... the entire universe as a whole is what you might call a solid block of energy. that is to say that the universe is one being composed of itself in entirety all AT ONE TIME.... this phrase is contradictory but important because there truly is no such thing as time... time is a construct composed of past/present/future... it is a construct of the human imagination which is magnificent... however, two of these things do not exist. past doesnt exist (since it is instantly gone) and future doesn't exist (since it isn't anything until it becomes the present) so time DOES NOT EXIST. the entire universe is just one "thing" that exists and then un-exists on the razor's edge of a timeless "now." "now" is all that truly exists since there is no past or future to encompass a "period of time." so everything in the universe that is SIMULTANEOUS is also just one thing. a block of light (there is no physicality to the world at all) that "depicts" what is going on. everything that is simultaneous with you is also you, everything that is "at another time" is a completely different being. this is why buddhists talk of humans living many lifetimes... every moment you are a different being....

1 million internets (or whatever, you know there is no prize) to whoever can answer this question first and best: what is the inherent flaw in the logical argument "I think, therefore I am"? Hint: there is nothing wrong with it... as far as it goes.

the most important (to me) question i have ever put on here, so i hope someone will give me a serious, even good, answer. what is science's answer to the homunculus problem? who do scientists say is looking at the picture in my brain?
as far as i can tell this question is the most compelling argument for either god, or a universal consciousness that has ever been offered up and its so easy to comprehend, so what are the scientific explanations. who is looking at this picture i see?

the entire universe in its "current" state is one eternal, timeless, eventless, objectless, capture of one infintesimally small aspect of the everythingness that is god. the appearance of the passage of time is simply god reading the story. what you call your individual self is just what the story looks like from this one tiny spot. the sense of "timeness" and "eventness" is the very "eye of god" itself reading the story forever and ever. "you" have always been in all of wthese moments forever. what you call "right now" is just what god looks like from here. same with what you call "this event
" or "that event" just a tiny portion of what god looks like from right there in that spot. no time no objects, no movement, just god looking at the story forever. this moment has always been going on forever, but it must, of necessity, feel to you like it is "passing on" to the next "moment". ty, jjh

okay, opening myself up for the bombardment of critical ridicule again but here goes. i have a theory which i take very seriously that space is the, as i call it, "important stuff" of the universe. briefly, i would just point out that 99.999999----> percent of the universe IS SPACE. further, i believe that this stuff, this space, which isn't exactly as we perceive it to be from our position firmly ensconsed within it, is the truly important "material" of the universe. in fact, i believe (certainly i am not in a position to prove this) that space is pure consciousness which is both "creating" and appreciating or "reading
" this lifestory we call "ours." it (space) creates this image by inserting itself into (atoms) and around (outer space) the pure energy of the universe, thus creating a worthwhile image to view which it does by "reading" this info as pure space pulling in pure energy. okay, any questions, or clarifications? bring it on world

okay, i have simply accepted the following as fact and i would ask for comments and opinions on this idea: Pure space IS PURE CONSCIOUSNESS!!! further, i believe tht space, simply put, is the important stuff of the universe. in other words, all physical stuff is just for show, and pure consciousness, which is pure space, is just watching the show. space is "reading" light as a "show" for it (space/consciousness) to watch and enjoy. comments welcom, humbly ty
