why do they do this

fucking physics
i had so much trouble with the integrals and their upper/lower bounds, i spent days trying to find justification for some of the shit in physics
so many equations start out as "the area between some things" and you work backwards from the definite integral to get a general solution
i just gave up and started treating literally every variable as if it was a difference of two variables (starting point and ending point)
turned out that's exactly what they do
looking back i don't know why i had so much trouble with it

it sort of balances out because i do most of my learning by myself during my free time, but i simply can not pay attention during class
it kinda sucks tbh, i tried to stop once but overdosed and now 2 of my right toes are paralyzed
