Bernie Sanders recently introduced a bill that would create a special, one time tax on 60% wealth gained by billionaires between March 18th and August 5th. This is of course retarded at multiple levels, since the vast bulk of that wealth increase during that time period is merely from stock prices recovering from the sharp drop they had at the end of Feb/beginning of March, alongside with the Fed purposefully propping up the market (which is really good for old people with pensions & 401ks) via money printer going brrr. And of course forcing all the billionaires to sell that much stock at once would crater the price, since well who would have the cash on hand to buy it? Well aside from foreign operations. You know Geely or BYD would be first in line to buy Tesla shares.
