Has anyone seen Neil deGrasse Tyson speak? I went to a event of his recently and I have developed a very firm opinion on him. Has anybody else seen him? What did you think? Just want to see if anybody else felt the same way.

So this dude is going to host the next Comos. What do you think about it?

we know the sun has a set amount of hydrogen fuel

and we know it consumes it at a set rate....

wait, what? I'm assuming the rate of consumption is measured by the output of energy from the sun in a given time frame, so that part I can understand, but how the hell do we know how much fuel the sun has? have scientists secretly been there without our knowledge and put a fuel gauge in the sun's fuel tank? have they been there with a measuring rod, dipped it in, and seen how much was left in the tank? how did they not catch on fire?
