Comp. Sci. graduate here, for a while now I've been thinking about writing a science-related game. The problem is I have no goddamn idea about what the game would be about, probably space exploration, leading space mission or something in that genre. No science fiction if possible.

Any ideas?

Quick question here. Why the fuck doesn't this work (Scheme)?

((lambda x (+ x 1)) 42)

I thought it would return 43, but I only get a wrong-type-arg error.

Ok so from what I understand we can only see stars in the past.
So lets say we got a strong enough telescope that could see into a planet that was in another star and that planet had an alien civilization. Would we see the alien civilization in the past?

Boy they sure are optimistic

sup /sci/

the other day i was searching about electromagnetism (just basic concepts, i don't know anything solid about that) and i found information of the EMPs. After that i was thinking about building an EMP generator, but i couldn't find anything about it, besides that it requires a fuckton of energy, so any kind of portable device was very difficult to make. can you guys tell me anything about it?

sorry for shitty english
