Im reading something about string theory, what exactly are extra dimensions? or calabi yau manifolds?

I was with it until it got to this part, where it pretty much said they exist but explained nothing further.

I've been thinking these past few days: genetically, our species is devolving.
We all know this yet there is nothing being done with it for the sake of populism and "humanity".
Each generation has got lower genetic quality and the errors and issues are snowballing.
Chemistry in our lives, the ability of EVERYONE to reproduce, lower death rates of lower quality children, people reproducing in higher ages, radioactivity.

I can see this on my family because I thoroughly tracked it to ~1950 [thoroughly as in I know what their health problems were]. Let me tell you, it was hard but that's irrelevant.
The thing is, lots of shit started coming up ~ 2 generations ago, getting worse with each. Chronic depressions, dyslexia and related, allergies, my siblings and I even have bodily errors [2 outer toes growing as one together on both feet - 1 of my 2 brothers has it, my sister has it].

I'm thinking hard about having children. What kind of problems will they have? How about their children?
What's your take on this /sci/?

>tl;dr Genetic quality of each new generation degrading. Wat do.

I mean, yes, I would opt for less intelligence and more happiness. It seems that you can only use intelligence to avoid depression to some extent, but you cannot really change the entire society which is part of why you are depressed, and neither can you completely ignore it or shut off from it. And in a perverse way, actually your intelligence is more exploited by society than by you.

So yes, I would choose less intelligence so that the stupid fucks would have to become themselves more intelligent/depressive and see how it is for a change.

>...and in three dimensons...
wtf was the point of this statement, this statement is so fucked up anyway, what does it prove or argue against?

Op just put it in there probably to have 1 more thing to back up his flimsy arguement

our scientists cant find a way to convert nuclear radiation directly into energy so they use it as fuel for a boiler.

>After many years, the Earth will have fallen so far behind that Cruithne will then actually be "catching up" on the Earth from "behind". When it eventually does catch up, Cruithne will make a series of annual close approaches to the Earth and gravitationally exchange orbital energy with Earth; this will alter Cruithne's orbit by a little over half a million kilometres (whilst Earth's orbit is altered by about 1.3 centimetres (0.51 in)) so that its period of revolution around the Sun will then become slightly more than a year.
