>transactional interpretation of quantum mechanics
WTF is this bullshit?

>waves travel back in time
>but only in such a manner that they can't be detected
>this happens deterministically
>but somehow gives rise to probability amplitudes
>I won't explain how though
>oh and this happens atemporally
>but coincidentally it happens just in time between the start of the experiment and the measurement
>muh theory is inherently non-local
>even though all the waves involved travel at the speed of light

Does anyone here adhere to the transactional interpretation and want to defend it?

I strongly believe that we should focus more on making the experience better than longer for the sake of it. (don't get me wrong : BOTH can be done simultaneously, but one is, imo, more interesting to pursue than the other)

if our reality is a simulation and we make a simulation
what stop thy infinite simulation paradox?
can the simulation break from too mutch simulation?
are we just codes or have we a transended body(afterlife)?
can we reverse ingenierd the simulation?
can the simulation controle itself?

That stuff is fun to think about but as we expand our view of the universe it becomes increasingly obvious we not in a simulation or anything like that.

Quantum immortality is a thought experiment so idk what you want me to say. It's as "serious" as Schrodinger's cat. The mind depends on the brain, so when the brain is injured or dies the mind is damaged or lost entirely. Even "rebooting" a brain that is clinically dead for more than few minutes is unlikely to bring back a person. I feel like once the state is lost, whatever is done with the body doesn't matter; "you" the ghost in the shell is lost. if you could imbue a dead brain with life again, it would be an imposter you with whatever's left of your stuff.

Hello, I've just finished high school and will take a year off. In this time, I'm going to work to save up some money and want to learn math as a hobby on the side.

I understand high school math well, but I'm not really excellent..I've learned from the beginnings of set theory up to integrals and undestand basic problems, however at some more tricky puzzles I can get lost and have no idea what step to take next. I have no idea where to go next, no guidance at all. How good does my high school math has to be to continue with advanced mathematics? Where should I go next?

I've watched this video ''The Map of Mathematics'' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmJ-4B-mS-Y)) in particular, but have no idea what to start with.

Can anyone recommend some good books to start learning or youtube videos? Or even which topic to begin with? I'd highly appreciate all help.

No. The entire gay-straight binary system is a mere contrivance, to put people in little boxes. Sexuality is quiet fluid, but in the West most people tend to gravitate towards one or the other. With the internet providing access to every flavor of sexuality, and societal acceptance of homosexuality on the rise, we're seeing more people that openly admit to being fluid.

If you like feminine penis, it just means you enjoy the feminine form + penis which is really not so unusual. It's stigmatized, so I doubt you'd find a lot of people willing to admit to it outside the internet.

I can certainly appreciate the feminine penis.

Hey /sci/

i'm making longboard for a hobby and i use a jack with a beam of wood and the roof of my garage to apply a force to the wood in order to shape my board.

Now i want to meassure the force i'm acting on the board but i'm exeeding the limit of my scale (150 kg) does sci know a way to messure up to 5000 newton with ~10N accuracy in a cheap way?

Why does mathematics describe natural systems so well?
