Please explain what is unrealistic. In case you don't know me I simply use "space elevator" as a nick name. My real idea is a combination of space plane+sky hook+true Lunar elevator and all the tethers in between. There will be no base station on the Earth's crust but it will start at around 100,000 feet with w sky hook tether.

I care nothing for money I care nothing for good food I care nothing for comfort and I have no dear of death. My only goal in life is to get average humans into space. I will be armed to the teeth to make this happen. That's all I will say about that subject but rest assured the WEF will not lay one finger on the orbital tether command line. See above for info per your "fixed target" keep in mind I will be growing our security infrastructure in line with all orbital infrastructure. Contact with Jodi Foster is one of my favorite movies so I know what can happen.

Starship is a failure and it will never ever make humans a space faring race, your math is dead wrong and it's nothing compared to my plan. It will take Starship 10-20 years to launch a small manned mission to Mars.

My idea will see a colony ship with 1000-3000 strong leaving Sol System in 20-30 years.
