Why is general relativity so God damn hard to believe?

To be fair I have a un-mathematical understanding of it so I may not know it very well, I believe that gravity bends light but I think gravitational waves and planets rolling upon 4th dimensional space time is complete bullshit. Should I learn the math first before I judge it?

I pretty much understand the math behind special relativity and honestly, you don't need to understand the math to understand the concept if you have a pretty good imagination. Obviously you can't make accurate predictions but you can have an understanding of the concept. I am assuming this is the same deal with GR.

Am I the only one who finds it funny how gravity is the "weakest" of the four fundamental interactions, yet also the most influential and widespread?

Also, OP. This is how GRT explains gravity.

Why does starlight bend around planets like in pic related?

Since we've all just posted our GPAs and proved there are a lot of smart people in 4chan, here's a test: To the best of your ability summarize general relativity with the most detail and accuracy possible in one sentance. Go.
