What actually is the conclusion of this thought experiment? Does it disprove Copenhagen interpretation? What is a better interpretation then resolving the cat paradox?

I don't get the big deal over Schrodinger's cat. Isn't the Geiger counter an observer that collapses the wave function when it detects a particle? Where is the paradox exactly?
