Is it possible to colonize a gas giant? I think it'd be really cool to have cites below layers of cloud or alternative floating above them on the strong internal winds, mining hydrogen and methane and such.

Will this ever be feasible? Do we have the technology to do it now but are only missing the resources and funding?

So, our outer 2 jovian planets (Neptune, Uranus) are simply too large to have been formed in their current position. They should have started out alot closer to the sun when the solar system was formed.
So basically they moved from the inner solar system, to the outer solar system.

What are some plausible theories as to how they moved? I've heard harmonics could've been involved?

Also, on a less related note, what would happen if a jovian planet collided with a terrestrial planet?

If it's smaller than earth, it will have less mass (unless it's more dense), so wouldn't the people be taller?
