JPL thought ahead on this, once the wheel disintegrates the rock will fall out.

It's just a play on dolphin sex being taken literally instead referring to pic related, although I don't think it's a common term outside of /sfg/. Also NASA used to inject dolphins with LSD in hopes of communicating telepathically with them and one of their caretakers would jerk off a male dolphin named Peter.

In order to have a sustainable space program you need fully and rapidly reusable rockets. So, dolphin sex Shuttle.

I believe something fell off and knocked the foam but I wouldn't be surprised if it could be traced back to shaking from the SRB. Look I'm not a huge fan of SRBs but the shuttle definitely used them incorrectly. Whoever thought it was a good idea to ignore the dolphin sex launcher and instead sandwich your vehicle between two unstoppable exploding pencils was a moron with a death wish

So you're telling me the Air Force is the reason we have chased hydrogen for 40+ years, the reason Space Force might be getting cucked from actual space experiments like x-37 and starship E2E delivery programs, AND the reason we didn't get a dolphin sex shuttle???? What the FUCK

Tell him that we are making our own goals, and meeting most (if not all of them). Also I will demand that we are NOT going to give in to the demands of any other organization. Like air force. We are building our Lockheed Martin shuttle and if the air force want to use it AFTER the fact they can

Yes you're right, I take back what I said. Would it be a better comparison to say it would be like lockheed trying to shill their dolphin sex shuttle in 2020 when there are far better alternatives in the modern day? It isn't necessarily BAD... it's just not as good of an idea as it used to be?
(yes apparently this image must show up in every thread, I'm sorry)

Their shuttle proposal was two stage to orbit, completely reusable. NASA thought it "too ambitious". They've been fucked over for decades and had to result to forming ULA with (((boeing))) which is quite unfortunate
