In my last year of mechanical engineering. Kind of want to spend a year to grab an EE minor. Thoughts?

I feel pretty limited in my prospects, like all im good for is cad manufacturing and boring shit. I can do some scripting and programming, and I've done circuit design, but i just feel like it'll be a dead end for me and its not like I'm gonna stop my mechanical degree and jump to EE.
