Hello. I had never posted here before, but I need your knowledge to make me understand why my theory about the Universe is wrong.

For a start, the Universe isn't an infinite amount of space. It ends, somewhere (what is beyond the limits of our Universe, I've never thought about it), and its borders are "pushing" and expanding because of the force of the Big Bang. But in a distant future, the force of the Big Bang will be less powerful than the force of the gravity of all the matter that's in the Universe, and it will start to belittle, until all the universe is a giant Black Hole. Then, when a "critical point" is reached, it will explode again, and form another universe, and so on. (tl;dr: the Universe is cyclic, a giant loop)

So, I know that it's too simple and that somebody would have come up with this theory if it had some scientific base. But I'd like to know what makes it impossible. Any help?

Please do these two tests and post results :
http://www.mensa.fr/?action=admission_test
http://www.mensa.be/iq/iqtest/iqtestfr.html
You can translate them if you want but it's not necessary because all you have to do is finish the pattern.
P.S THIS IS NOT AN IQ TEST!!! It's just patterns and in the end, it gives you the percentage of good answers.

Got a math issue, yes it is homework, but I feel like a total retard, and really can't figure this out, might have something to do with it being 1 am, so I really don't want to spend all night thinking about a math issue that probably isn't hard at all just me missing something.

it is 20 = 30-23*0.973^x

I have to solve it using logarithms, don't write the answer please as I know it is something very close to 30, something that can easily be found using a graph.

Heres a problem assholes

A plane flies from Kamchatka to Moscow and back. Each leg of the trip is 7200 miles long. On the flight back to Kamchatka, the plane flies 100 mph faster than then flight out to Moscow. The total trip took 17 hours. How fast was the plane travelling when it was flying to Moscow?

Btw, no matrices allowed. Tell me how you solved, if you can solve.

Firstly, I'm a trap. Just to get that out of the way.

My best friend (whom I met after commencing into trap-hood, so I was always a girl to her) has always flirted with me and done stuff, that to any normal person would see as passes. I always just dismissed them as it being just being the way she is. Every week or so, she'd come up to my house for a few days or I'd go to her house and we'd sleep in the same bed, just 'cuz it was more comfy. As time went on, I eventually took (albiet crappy) porn of her for her boyfriend (of whom is not local) and such and we spoke about sex and our boyfriends a lot.

Eventually, she started asking me questions and my PENIS and if she could see it and such. I was hardly sure how to take it and made jokes in response to her assuming it was just her messing around as per usual.

Though, one night she rolled over and started kissing my neck and making out with me just as I was falling asleep. In my half-dreaming state I thought it was my boyfriend and suddenly came to with her tongue in my mouth; Though, I did always sort of have a crush on her and started kissing her back and sucking her neck... This went on as we stripped eachother and played with eachothers breasts until she finally went down on me (my first time) until I came in her mouth. After which, she got on top of me and we fucked.. I had always wanted to be with her, though I'd never admit it to anyone except the masses of Anon here. After we had fucked and come down from our "glow".. We thought of our respective partners.. She confessed to her boyfriend, though I will never to mine.

And we've never spoken about it since. Though, we continue to sleep together and take showers together, sans sex.

Hey guys, I have a question. I have an assignment where a computer program simulates an UNFAIR dice being thrown a million times and gives the number of times it lands on each side. It asks me to use methods to show how it's unfair. I've already used a histogram and shown the standard deviation and said what the number of times it should land on each side is (and percentage and probability out of 1). Are there any other methods I should use or does that about exhaust it? We have Matlab at our disposal. Cheers.

Whereas a religion has faith in the existence of an imaginary god, science has faith in the trustworthiness of the government--something which real truth seekers would never dare have.

Mind you that the scope of "trusting the government" covers trusting mass media information, trusting what is told in history books, and, basically, trusting anything else that is considered to be "official" (such as the "official" version of history). People never ask for proof or evidence when information comes from an official source. Instead, they simply rely on their faith in the trustworthiness of the source.

I just got an idea how it could be possible to transfer information from point A to point B faster the light from A reaches B.

1. You send a light signal from A to B
2. around the same time (you should be able to calculate this) a ship waiting in middle, between A and B will start going at c to point B.
3. The light from A will be moving relatively to ship at c
4. The ship will be moving relatively to B at c
5. Around the time when ship reaches B, the light from A will reach the ship, so now the ship stops at B, at relates the information.
6. relatively to B, the light from A is still semewhere in middle between A and B.

Could this work?

pic unrelated.

Hey /sci/, which calculator should I get for school?

I can pick between a TI-84 Silver Edition, a TI-84 Plus and a TI-89 Titanium. Does it make a big difference or the cheapest of those 3 can do a nice job.
