The 50% mix is different in each sperm/ovule, that's why brothers and sisters are never identical and why indetical twins come from the same sperm/ovule.
White people with brown eyes have a brown eye gene but that doesn't mean they don't carry a recessive blue or green eye gene.

The same applies to Africans from the slave trade (afro-latin, Caribbean, ex-colony african islands) and modern day mixed race couples.
All the lighter skined jamaicans have Celtic genes, even some of the darker ones have celtic genes by now.
Black jamacans transimiting to younger generations recessive ginger hair gene.

A good example of this woud be the rapper Logic his father is mixed black/white and carries a recessive blue eye gene, his mother is white and has blue eyes because she only has blue eye genes.
So to get blue eyes Logic needed to get 2 blue eye genes from the gene lottery.
Lgic had a 1/4 chances of getting blue eyes and he did.
