what does it take to get into physics grad school?

I'm a sophomore and not doing so well...my GPA is currently 3.19 and I made a C in a physics class last semester. I really like physics though and I think I'm going to do better in the future. Definitely going to be working a lot harder.

I really want to go all the way and get a PhD. How hard is it to get into grad school for physics? Are there more mediocre grad schools that would accept a lowly 3.0ish gpa person like myself?

Thanks, I was sorta thinking the same thing.
Just confusing because of the natural x and y positions in the brackets.
