Ok. so this is going to sound stupid coming from a non physics background, but take it with some salt.

thinking about the argument from creation, that everything including the creator must itself be created by a higher power, i came to the (obvious but unsaid) conclusion that at some point in the past there must of been matter that just existed.

I got to this by thinking about the big bang/crush whatever. The big bang was a singularity of matter right? (again pinch of salt) Where did that matter come from? and the process that begat said matter, why? Eventually through some inductive thinking i got to the point that we have to accept some elementary particles just and have always existed. Theres no other reason for everything to just start all of a sudden?

I dont expect you to explain it to me in massive detail, i'm seriously unread on this subject, but a laymans idea of if im in any sort of ballpark?

We aren't going to be able to leave the brain.

On your computern when you make a copy of derp.exe, the copy isn't the same file as the original derp.exe

What will happen is we will have multiple personality copies of ourselves, but we will not be immortal in anyway. The copy might ben but we won't be.
