Hello sci

I am not a chemfag but I have been asked to test an alkaline solution of sodium hydroxide for hydrogen peroxide.

Is it possible for hydrogen peroxide to exist in alkaline solution? If not, why not? If so, how do I test it? Can I use hydrochloric or sulphuric to bring the pH down? Has the hydrogen peroxide already been converted to sodium peroxide?

Not homework, not even my job, but the boss has decided that today it is.

Thanks.
