Some you can get for example ores out of for people to make iron for swords. People do that for quite some time now. Everything people connote with the particular entity (especially when it increases survival likelihood) is reason for worship.

It is known, people do know, at least the nervous system does, it holds some great value more than we're aware of in everyday situations.
I'm not saying fall to your knees infront of it, you could try, I'm not here to limit you, though I can see falling to your knees might make some sense when you're super thirsty in the dessert digging for water.
