>if a centerfuge spins fast enough, it becomes harder to move towards the center and movement in the third dimension becomes locked off.
>if you put a 2D VR headset on someone in a centerfuge, after enough time they may think of themselves as existing in a 2D plane as they would only be able to move side to side and up or down.
What if a 4D being did this but with a 3D VR headset?

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/11/science/katie-bouman-black-hole.html

While she led the development of an algorithm to take a picture of a black hole, an effort that was the subject of a TED Talk she gave in 2016, her colleagues said that technique was not ultimately used to create this particular image.

MIT graduate receives high praise for creating algorithm used to photograph black hole

Meet the 29-year-old woman behind the first-ever black hole image

https://www.techtimes.com/articles/241380/20190413/sexist-trolls-undermine-katherine-boumans-role-in-black-hole-image.htm
Many people were excited about the very first image of a black hole, as well as about the young woman who was instrumental to capturing it.

>It's okay to completely misrepresent the entire event horizon team effort down to 1 photogenic girl whose algorithm was actually not even used in the image
>criticizing the poor media coverage inaccuracy is sexist trolling

How do we deal with the fact media is terrible at reporting on anything scientific when any criticism is disregarded as sexist trolling?

This is not about the ethics or morals

It's just a scientific question on possibility. You can think of many cultures on earth that would do this for instance Islamic ones.

Discussing why or why not is not the focus of the thread.
